2. How to perform endovenous laser therapy? 
The endovenous laser treatment procedure can be performed in the clinic, the patient is fully awake during the procedure, and the doctor will monitor the condition of the blood vessels with ultrasound equipment. 
 
The doctor first injects a local anesthetic into the patient's thigh and creates an opening in the thigh that is slightly larger than the pinhole. Then, a fiber optic catheter is inserted from the wound into the vein. As it travels through the diseased vein, the fiber emits laser energy to cauterize the vein wall.
