This equates into shorter treatment times and faster healing and tissue regeneration for the patient. As an example, treatment times are determined by joules of energy into the area being treated. An area you want to treat needs 3000 joules of energy to be therapeutic. A LLLT laser of 500mW would take 100 minutes of treatment time to give the necessary treatment energy into the tissue to be therapeutic. A 60 watt Class IV laser only needs 0.7 minutes to deliver the 3000 joules of energy.
