Endovenous laser varicose vein surgery is a procedure that uses heat from a laser to reduce varicose veins. Varicose veins are swollen, bulging veins that often happen on the thighs or calves. A laser is a device that sends a thin beam of radiation in the form of light.
Laser surgery closes and shrinks the varicose vein and causes scar tissue within the vessel. This seals off the vein. Blood then flows through other nearby veins instead.
Currently, the most effective method of varicose vein disease treatment is endovenous laser treatment (EVLT), the distinguishing features of which are:
reliability, the operation is carried out under ultrasound control
predictable treatment outcome
high treatment efficiency
Advantages of EVLT:
1.Outpatient surgery without hospitalization
2.No period of disability
3.No need for anesthesia: it is performed under local anesthesia
4.Safety - laser light is emitted inside a vessel and does not damage nerve endings and adjacent tissues
5.It can be used for any vein diameter, even the largest ones
6.practically no pain
7.perfect cosmetic effect, no cuts or scars
8.quick procedure
9.It can be done on both limbs in one visit
10.applicable to any vein length, even over 100 cm - single laser fiber insertion
Endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) treats major varicose veins previously treated by stripping surgery. With ultrasound guidance, a laser fibre is placed into the abnormal vein through a tiny incision. The vein is then numbed with local anaesthetic, and the laser activated as the fibre is slowly removed. This produces a reaction in the vein wall along the treated section, resulting in collapse and sclerosis of the vein wall with minimal discomfort.
The published success of EVLA treatment is between 95-98%, with far fewer complications than surgery. With the addition of EVLA to ultrasound guided sclerotherapy, it is expected that varicose vein surgery will be performed much less frequently in the future.

980+1470nm laser system can be used to treat different kinds of varicose veins, such as:
Great Saphenous Vein (GSV)
*Small Saphenous Vein (SSV)
*Their major tributaries such as the Anterior Accessory Saphenous Veins (AASV)
Endovenous Laser therapy is a minimally invasive treatment alternative to the traditional vein stripping surgery for varicose veins and gives better cosmetic results with less scarring. The principle is that by removing the abnormal vein by applying laser energy inside the vein ('endovenous') to destroy ('ablate') it.
Triangel 980nm 1470 is the high performance laser diode surgical platform with more indications of the market. Its versatility and adaptability makes it a multidisciplinary ideal tool for any type of surgery: abdominal, dermatology, ENT, Gynecology, Gastroenterology, laparoscopic surgery, neurosurgery, proctology, thoracic surgery, Pulmonology, PLDD,EVLT ,EVLA ,Endovarious and vascular surgery.
The advanced technology developed by Triangel after years of research, gives as a result this advanced surgical platform with great capacity of coagulation, precise cutting and excellent ablation. There is no bleeding and the recovery of patients is faster.
